Chris Nietubicz

Pastor Chris and his family are excited to be back in Texas after four years in St. Louis, where Chris was attending Concordia Seminary.  Chris was born in Nacogdoches, TX but grew up in Carrollton, TX (in the Dallas area) and Lauren grew up in the Houston, TX. Chris and Lauren met at Concordia University in Austin, TX.  Chris graduated in 2003 with a Behavioral Science degree and Lauren in 2005 with a DCE degree.  The two were married at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Jersey Village, TX in June of 2005.  They moved to Mesquite, TX where Chris worked in the Floor Covering industry, doing sales, marketing, advertising and product selection for a chain of retail stores.  Lauren did her internship and had her first call at Cross of Christ, Lutheran Church in Desoto, TX.  Lauren took her second call to Trinity Lutheran in Spring, TX and Chris continued to work in the flooring industry. 

In 2012 Chris enrolled in school at Concordia Seminary.  There he studied and earned his Masters of Divinity in 2016.  Chris’s first call is to Immanuel  Lutheran Church as our Associate Pastor.  His focus will be on discipleship ministry.  During seminary, Chris became passionate about building up disciples for the ministry of God and helping people live out their daily lives in such a way.

Chris enjoys gardening, woodworking, home brewing and anything related to Rangers baseball. Lauren is a runner who enjoys embroidering and selling things through her etsy shop. Lillie is a slightly shy 4 year old who wears her heart on her sleeve and loves to sing any song that’s about Jesus. Mark is a talkative 2 year old who enjoys trying new things and doing anything his sister does. The family is excited for a new adventure as they settle into the community.
